Scott is a natïve Michiganian who grew up on Lower-Straits Lake in the greater metro Detroit area. He graduated from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology with his Doctorate of Psychology in 2019, and has been providing outpatient mental health treatment since that time. During his undergraduate at Oakland University he worked in research labs with trauma and cognitive processing while also working at Havenwyck Hospital, where he gained experience working with high risk individuals. He has gained an in-depth understanding of psychology through his training. Working with patients at psychiatric hospitals, prisons, substance use rehab centers, rural community health centers, federally qualified medical centers, fellowships, and Ryan White centers has helped him cultivate an inviting stance towards helping a person overcome their troubles.

Scott describes himself as it relates to his therapy styles as personable, attentive, practical and optimistic. His training has shown him that the most important aspect for therapy is the close relationship that develops between a patient and their therapist. Therefore, his approach is a contemporary relational psychodynamic. The way he practices has been especially helpful for young adults and men who are seeking therapy regardless of their predicament.
